OUR TEAM
Our Teachers
At Select School of Performing Arts, your child isn't just supported by one teacher - they're supported by an entire team. We are a professionally run, expertly staffed performing arts school, structured like a real business rather than a community performing arts group. This structure exists for one reason: to make sure we deliver the highest level of classes and quality of teaching, every single time.
Every teacher is professionally trained in their area, with training from top performing arts institutions, and is overseen by a dedicated Line Manager who provides ongoing support and guidance, so no teacher is ever working in isolation. You might think our teachers just turn up and teach - but being part of Select means so much more than that. Behind every class is careful preparation and expertly curated lesson plans, put together by our Heads of Department: subject specialists who curate lesson plans each term, oversee exams, and mentor our teachers to keep raising the bar.
Safety is at the heart of everything we do. All of our teachers hold enhanced DBS checks, are first aid trained, and are fully safeguarding trained - so you can be confident your child is in the safest, most professional hands.
We're also committed to excellence beyond the classroom, with termly professional development keeping our staff at the forefront of teaching techniques and industry standards. This structure doesn't just support what's happening with your child in the room - it supports the whole environment around them.
With Select, your child isn’t just learning, but truly thriving in their performing arts education.
Lauren
Lauren’s performing arts journey began at her local dance school, where she first discovered her love of performing through weekly classes. From those early days, her passion grew and eventually led her to train full-time at ArtsEd, where she earned a scholarship for her final two years, before continuing her training at London Studio Centre and graduating with a BA (Hons) in Dance and Musical Theatre. She went on to perform professionally in cabaret shows, films such as St Trinian’s, and a number of TV advertisements.
